Commissioned by the Ronald McDonald house in Utrecht, we built care apartments which function as hotel rooms for customers whose son or daughter has been admitted to the Wilhelmina children’s hospital for treatment of a serious illness. The flexible building consists of seven bedrooms with shower, toilet, a kitchen and a relaxation area. The semi-permanent care apartments will remain in place for eight years and were built using our K1500 system on two floors with a surface area of 360 m2.
We completed the project within one week and in the following three weeks we attended to the facade cladding. It became a weekend job, in view of the fact that during weekdays the location was difficult to access in connection with the nearby Military Hospital.
