Jan Snel builds energy neutral homes in Hoek van Holland

WVH is developing new-build homes for 159-161 Tasmanweg using an innovative construction method. The home are being built in the factory and assembled on location. On 9 and 11 July the components for the homes will be transported by heavy haulage.

Opening of housing complex exclusively for migrant workers

WAALWIJK – On 21 June, the first large housing complex for Otto Work Force was opened, and it was built by Jan Snel, one of the biggest modular builders in the Netherlands. With four hundred beds, the completed complex provides space exclusively for migrant workers, particularly from Eastern Europe. The accommodation is provided with a variety of communal areas.
Rutger Schuur is new CEO of Jan Snel Group

MONTFOORT – As of 1 September, Rutger Schuur becomes Chief Executive Officer of the Jan Snel Group BV. Jan Snel is the market leader for modular construction in the Benelux. In his capacity as Director/Major Shareholder, the current CEO, Harry van Zandwijk, will remain closely involved in Jan Snel and the commercial side of the business.
Three operating theatres installed in one weekend

On the instructions of UMC Utrecht, three additional operating theatres were installed at the Wilhelmina Children’s Hospital over the weekend of 10-11 February. The operating complex, which includes technical space and consists of 45 modular units, was installed in a steel structure over six metres in height. The operating theatres will be operational from the end of May.
Start of ‘Katzensprung’, phase 2: 211 student flats

‘Katzensprung’ in Vaals, Limburg, is the name of the student complex that Jan Snel is building, commissioned by I Love Vols B.V. The first complex, consisting of 250 student apartments, was completed in 2016. At the end of 2017 a start was made on the foundations for the second, adjacent complex with another 211 student apartments.
