Jan Snel Residential becomes Daiwa House Modular Europe
Sustainable building for future-proof living
Jan Snel has smarter, quicker and cleaner solutions for the growing housing shortage. From now on, we are doing that as Daiwa House Modular Europe; a European organisation with Dutch and Japanese roots. We bring decades of experience and expertise together in sustainable, high-quality housing solutions. Naturally still with modular construction and even greater consideration for the future residents and the environment.
Jan Snel has extensive experience in student housing. With this stacked modular housing solution, we can offer fast and flexible housing for students.
Student housing: high-quality, fast and efficient
Jan Snel’s modular construction offers many advantages for student housing: fast delivery, top quality at an affordable price, flexibility on all fronts and total peace of mind. The result is permanent, high-quality stacked construction.
Working this way, we’ve delivered several student housing projects, providing compact and complete housing units to accommodate students near their university or college. Ravel, the largest modular building in Europe, houses 800 students and has a surface area of 28,000 m² across five floors. We realised this ambitious project within a year. In addition to 800 student residences, the building has a restaurant, a study room, a dining room, a library and a laundry area. The student complex was built to last at least a dozen years, so we developed student units equipped with all the amenities. In addition to the standard facilities, the students can enjoy a basketball field, urban farming and indoor bicycle parking facilities.
